Mas has over two decades' experience teaching children with special educational needs, combining deep professional expertise with genuine passion and dedication. She has taught a wide range of learners, including children with autism, ADHD and dyslexia, as well as those requiring early intervention and learning support, and has supported children with special needs in a variety of centres, served on Development Support and Learning Support (DS‑LS) programmes and as a shadow teacher in Anchor Operator pre‑schools in Singapore. She has also been involved in the ICCP programme run by SG Enable, and worked and volunteered with voluntary welfare organisations (VWOs), international schools and private centres. As an EIP teacher, she adapts and differentiates learning materials, models tasks, breaks activities into manageable steps, and implements individual behaviour support plans and positive strategies; she also assists with transitions to reduce anxiety, facilitates social skills and peer interaction, records observations and progress, and contributes to Individual Education Plans while liaising closely with teachers, therapists and parents to personalise learning goals. She is au fait with technology tailored for special educational needs and is comfortable using it, and is committed to creating an inclusive, nurturing and structured learning environment in which every child has the opportunity to succeed and reach their full potential.
